Un fotógrafo que, tras realizar unas tomas en un parque londinense, descubre revelando las fotos una forma irreconocible que aparenta ser un cadáver. La historia está basada en un cuento de Julio Cortázar (Las babas del diablo), incluido en su obra Las armas secretas. Cortázar aparece realizando un cameo en una de las fotografías mostradas en la película. En el relato, la la pequeña historia y su significado es contado de una forma distinta a como se cuenta en el film de Antonioni.
Tras el estreno de la película, Antonioni confesó que debía realizar otra cinta para poder así explicar el significado de la misma. Como curiosidad, el personaje principal está inspirado en el fotógrafo David Bailey. La cinta, además de ser un interesantísimo thriller es además el testimonio de una ciudad de una época, ofreciéndonos un maravilloso retrato visual de la moda pop de aquel momento. Imprescindible para todos aquellos fans del fenómeno psicodélico y pop de los 60. Para mi esta es una de las mejores planes para un domingo gris. Ver películas llenas de trama como estas dos citadas y por qué no pedir una pizza a domicilio y verla tranquilamente en el sofá de casa.
